National Flood Service or NFS
For the last three years I have been working nothing but flood. I know the flood policy inside and out, a far cry from what I could proclaim when I first got into flood claims full time around the time of Katrina. It is actually a very simple and short policy; well, except for that paragraph regarding condo assessments. That one made my head hurt. Anyway, For the last year, maybe two, we seem to be getting more and more incompetent rejections from NFS. Besides the fact that I know the policy, it is reviewed by an examiner working for the vendors who I contract with. So a file is reviewed and approved by someone who has been working flood claims longer than I have and still, these morons kick back a file claiming this or that is not covered.

That is why almost every file that gets rejected by NFS, go back to NFS without a change. Any good adjuster won't change a file just because an examiner says to when the examiner is wrong. Of course, tact should be utilized when pointing out the wrongness of the examiner. don't say what is REALLY on your mind.
Now that is not to say that I do not make mistakes. Nothing would be further from the truth. Those, however, are usually caught before the file gets to NFS.
